when you see a large grazer
To protect the large grazers and yourself, we would like to ask you to observe a number of visiting rules when walking or cycling through the grazing area. View the animation below for the visiting rules.
summary visiting rules
- Always keep a distance of 50 meters
- Do not cross the herds
- Walk around the animals in a wide arc

accidentally too close
Calmly distance yourself again. If the large grazers walk near or on the path, wait until they have passed or go around them in a wide arc (deviating from the paths is allowed). Feeding is prohibited because it makes animals rude and pushy.
This is how you recognize a large grazer that is restless or nervous
- Making themselves as big as possible
- Shaking with their head
