when you see a large grazer

To protect the large grazers and yourself, we would like to ask you to observe a number of visiting rules when walking or cycling through the grazing area. View the animation below for the visiting rules.

summary visiting rules

  • Always keep a distance of 50 meters
  • Do not cross the herds
  • Walk around the animals in a wide arc
  • Stay visible, don’t hide
  • Keep dogs on a leash
  • Leave the animals alone
  • Do not scream or shout at the animals
  • Do not feed or pet
  • Don’t take selfies

accidentally too close

Calmly distance yourself again. If the large grazers walk near or on the path, wait until they have passed or go around them in a wide arc (deviating from the paths is allowed). Feeding is prohibited because it makes animals rude and pushy.
